Q: Why choose River Glass Designs over other companies?

Q: Can I get an estimate before you come out?

A: Yes, if you can provide us a drawing with the approximate sizing, product selection and hardware color we are glad to provide an estimated cost. We’re happy to discuss your project over the phone, but estimate requests can also be submitted anytime via email or fax (301.977.3839).

Q: What is the difference between Framed, Semi-Frameless, and Frameless shower enclosures?

A: In a Framed shower enclosure all seams and edges have framing. With Semi-Frameless showers all seams and edges have framing except the door on three sides. Frameless shower enclosures have no framing so the edges are seamless. In some cases a wall channel or 2 inch clamps are required. Occasionally, a support header is needed for a frameless shower depending on layout. See our photo gallery to view these shower enclosure options in a variety of layouts and styles. If you’re not sure which type of shower enclosure you’d prefer, we recommend a visit to our showroom where you can see a variety of options, layouts and accompanying hardware choices.

Q: If I purchase a product through River Glass Designs what is the process from beginning to finish?

A: One of River Glass Design’s experienced consultants will come to your home to take measurements and discuss layout options. Based on the measurement details and preferences of the homeowner, we prepare a proposal and drawing of the project. Once proposal has been approved and signed, and a 50% deposit is provided, the fabrication is started. We generally schedule installations 2-3 weeks after approval for shower enclosures, for mirrors the lead time is 1-2 weeks.

Q: What is the warranty on your product?

A: We have a one year full workmanship warranty and our premium hinges have a lifetime warranty. Contact one of our customer service representatives for more information.

Q: If I’m building or remodeling my bathroom, what work needs to be completed before you can measure and install?

A: The tile work needs to be completed. We also recommend homeowners ensure the threshold or curve has a slight pitch towards the shower pan for proper drainage (this helps prevent leakage).

Q: Does all glass have that green tint?

A: All standard glass has edges with a green tint. You can upgrade to Starphire Glass, a low iron glass that has clear edges. The difference is most apparent with very light tile or marble.

Q: What should I use to clean my shower?

A: We recommend using a squeegee after each use and cleaning the enclosure with household products (preferably an ammonia free glass cleaner) once a week.
