We Will Win

My fellow citizens, the events of this past weekend and the impending attack we now face, can only be described as a blatant act of aggression and a declaration of war.
And we will not allow this “major storm” to win.
This storm may close our schools and jobs, but we will simply have fun with our days off.
This storm may shut down our roads, side streets and neighborhoods, but we will simply walk, ski and snowboard where we need to go.
This storm may take from us our electricity…well, um, if that happens, we pretty much uh, we pretty much lose. I mean electricity is pretty much a vital part of coping with this disaster, so if that goes …
But I digress, already we have sent word to the southern regions, they know of our plight, and in just a few short months they will be here with reinforcements.
And they are bringing with them and all powerful weapon, the Sun!
Yes in these dire times my friends, we may stand on the precipice of darkness, but it is only to get a better view of the brilliant light ahead.
Stay strong, stand ready, for this storm may take this battle, but we, WE WILL END THIS WAR!!!!

This is getting ridiculous….
Look Snow, we’ve had some goodtimes, who am I kidding, we’ve had some GREAT times, but it’s over. OVER! Pack your stuff and go!
You’re not wanted here. You can’t even do your job right, you just ruin the weekends. And do I get off work? No! I have to go to work on Monday, driving on the ice rink you’ve left behind.
But no more! I won’t clean up after you anymore!
Completely ridiculous!

The Weather Outside is Frightful

Snow. I have realized it’s a lot like candy. It’s awesome, everyone loves it, but, too much of it will make you sick. And I think it’s safe to say all of us here in the D.C. Metro area are coming down from our sugar high.
Historic. Every newscaster and weatherman have been throwing that word around all weekend. I now realize it’s just a fancy way of saying a lot. Fancy and accurate. Where I live we got at least 20 inches. The storm caused Washington D.C. to have its snowiest December ever, that’s right EVER! All I can say is, hopefully this will all melt away before Snows evil brother makes an appearance… Dirty Snow! Yuckity yuck yuck yuck.
Well on behalf of River Glass Designs, I hope everyone had a fun safe weekend. And on behalf of myself I hope a historic amount of people read this and one day I make a historic amount of money… (Gary I’m Looking At You!)

Snow Day

December 5th 2009. Our first Snow. It was like 8 billion down pillows exploded in the atmosphere and gently rained down on the earth below. Snow. It’s the real fountain of youth. Think about it. When those beautiful white flakes fall from the heavens, it doesn’t matter how old you are, or how old you’re gonna get, when it snows we are all 10 years old again, and we are all thinking about the same thing. Snow ball fights, snowmen, hot chocolate and shoveling. Shoveling…YUCK! Well I guess nothing’s perfect. But when it snows it’s one of the few times no one cares how cold it is outside. No one is wishing they were in Florida, Jamaica, or Bermuda. Nope! It’s one of the few times everyone realizes that they are exactly where they want to be. Unless of course you hate snow…but then you probably also hate new born babies and happiness, so good luck with that. To Everyone Else Happy Snow Day from River Glass Designs!
